INFORMATIVE PAGE ON DENTISTRY TERMS
Enamel  - the hard, white outer layer of the tooth that forms the crown and covers and protects the dentin.
Dentin  - the layer of the tooth structure just below the enamel. Dentin is more yellow-colored than enamel and less resistant to decay and wear.
Pulp  - the soft tissue filled center of a tooth. The pulp is made up of blood vessels and nerve tissue.
Cementum  - the thin, outer layer of the root.
